A variety of green, leafy vegetables like bok choy, broccoli, cabbage and kale can be very nutritious as well. However, a rabbit owner should not be giving the rabbit too many vegetables all at once but introduce the veget...

Rover (see videoclip) is a sweet 3-year-old cross-breed, looking for his home sweet HDB home!
http://goo.gl/uLjdiv
This bubbly boy is one of our dogs adoptable under Project ADORE, as he's not more than 15kg in weight nor taller than 50cm in height. He would also appeal to HDB flat owners, by virtue of his suitably sweet and calm temperament.
Rover and his fellow Project ADORE-eligible canines, are all featured on the first 2-3 pages of SPCA's online adoption gallery: http://www.spca.org.sg...

Just last evening (27 April), we were alerted to a cat in distress, found firmly wedged between the window panes of a first floor flat unit at Tampines Street 43.
On arrival, our Rescue Officer, Daniel, gently nudged the ginger/white cat slowly down a pane, then using a catchpole to release the cat safely on the ground. The cat was unharmed but seemed disoriented, and was brought back to our shelter for further veterinary observation. As the cat is ear-tipped and a community cat, it will be rel...

Kitty-cat chit-chat is made up of 16 different meow sounds for different occasions. Extended tails signify a friendly greeting or a handshake and a slow blink of the eye is a gentle, “I love you”. In the U.S., the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has recently named animal cruelty as a “top-tier crime”, along with arson, burglary, kidnapping and homicide. When this change takes effect in 2016, prosecution for animal cruelty will be given more priority and more resources, and those convicted of it will face harsher sentencing.
The FBI hopes these changes will weed out animal abusers and help to bring more cases to federal prosecution. You can read more from:

Kayla, who will be celebrating her 5th birthday with a party this year, wanted to use the money that would be spent on goodie bags for her friends, to do some good instead.
So, with her generous heart, she chose the animals at the SPCA to donate this money to. On behalf of all those who will be invited to her birthday celebration, she donated a total of $150 and, in a note, wished them with a lovely poem on behalf of the animals:
"Thanks for your friendship
And growing up with me

SPCA was featured on "The 5 Show", on MediaCorp's Channel 5, just last Fri (10 April), and was delighted to take into the studio our senior dog Ida (about 10 years old). SPCA reiterated its stand, that it is against culling but for sterilisation as an effective and humane means of managing the stray population. We also shared with viewers how Project ADORE has enabled more suitable local cross-breed dogs to find homes in HDB households.
SPCA’s shelter has many sweet and adoptable cross-breed...

PEDRO, a senior white/brown Chihuahua (around 6-7 years), was found, possibly abandoned, at Toh Crescent on 9 March 2015.
He appears to have a hindlimb congenital deformity, and patchy fur loss on his back, but is otherwise healthy and alert.
Regardless of his circumstances, his zeal for life hasn't wobbled one bit. This affable charmer is energetic yet sweet and affectionate.
He's not microchipped when we found him, and we have since placed ads for him in the Classifieds, but his (ex-) ow...
