Three Legs Good 1st Jul 2015, by SPCA Singapore
Adoption Spotlight: Dynamic DINAH
Dinah is a 5-year-old mini-Schnauzer cross, with a difference. She gets along exceptionally well with her human chums, and is more than ready to share her passion for life with her forever family.

On 11 April 2015, we were alerted to, and rescued, a kitten found trapped on a glue board in Gul Circle. Our Shelter Supervisors and Animal Care Officers took pains to wash the glue off the kitten, daily for a fortnight, applying a mix of cooking oil and shampoo, until he was finally rid of the glue.
SPCA has also written to the relevant pest controller agency, that had installed the glue board in the Gul Circle building concerned, and sought its buy-in to consider alternative pest control met...

Just last week (on 12 June), we went to the rescue of a community cat seen perched on the roof beam of a covered walkway at Yishun Ave 4. Our rescuer, Daniel, relied on a ladder to reach the cat, and managed to haul the cat into a carrier using a catchpole. The cat, a ear-tipped grey-chocolate tabby, and found to be alright and unharmed, was released safely on the ground floor shortly afterwards.
Our thanks to caller, Mrs Wong, who alerted us to the distressed animal, and who stayed on the sce...

In Brewster, New York, Figo the guide dog put his own life at risk, by jumping in front of an oncoming school bus, to shield his visually impaired owner, 62-year-old Audrey Stone, from harm.
Figo and his owner were both struck by the bus, sustaining injuries which are, thankfully, not too serious.
Hailed as an animal hero, Figo is presently "resting comfortably and recovering nicely from his wounds", according to the Middlebranch Veterinary in New York.

Although no witnesses came forward, we managed to find the rabbit, which we named RILEY, a good home.
Our thanks to Ms Ong and her family who adopted Riley! Here’s Riley, looking far more contented than when we first saw him!
