Pick up after your dogs! Let’s all do our part, as considerate dog owners, to make the environment clean and free from dog poop.
Responsible pet ownership means more than just walking one’s dogs daily (in the early mornings or late evenings, when the temperature is more favourable). Owners should always clean up after their pets, disposing of faeces in a sanitary manner, and dispensing water to wash away urine on concrete surfaces in community spaces.
Owners should always have ready plas...

It’s business as usual at the SPCA, with our staff rehabilitating animals rescued from distresses or ordeals. Our clinic staff officers were helping a kitten recover from its injuries sustained from a rubber band wound around its front right paw.
The grey/white tabby kitten, still under veterinary observation, would be up for adoption once it’s ready. Do check our adoption gallery regularly for updates on animals newly available and ready for adoption, following veterinary care and convale...

In June 2015, we were alerted to three cats and four kittens, kept within a small cage outside a HDB unit at Toa Payoh (one of the older cats is actually the mother of the four kittens). SPCA has taken custody of all the seven, and the four kittens and their mother, have since been in the care of one of our kind foster families.
The other two cats, whom we named POLO and HALO, are now ready for adoption.
Ready for the lifelong commitment to Polo (a 1-year-old, male Cross-Maine Coon) and Halo...

Rescued, then fostered: BLINI, the kitty
Blini, a grey/white-tabby kitten, was brought to our shelter, on 3 May 2015, shortly after being found (possibly abandoned) at Choa Chu Kang. He was merely about nine weeks old then, and a little too young to be adopted.
A kind fosterer, Ms Katja Lechner, offered to help care for Blini during his initial months. She gave the kitten a warm and nurturing home environment to prepare him for his adoptive home.
Three weeks later, he was returned to the SP...

NFL's Tyrann Mathieu Suffers In Hot Car To Promote Pet Safety 24th Jul 2015, by SPCA Singapore
Yet another case of a dog being left in a locked car has been recently reported to the SPCA, and we would like to strongly advise pet owners, again, against leaving any animal in any vehicle, unattended, in any circumstance.
In Singapore’s tropical climate, a parked vehicle can become a furnace in no time, even with the windows open. The temperature, humidity and lack of ventilation inside a stationary vehicle can rise rapidly, to the point that your pet can sustain brain damage or even die f...

Look who’s dropped by earlier today!
It’s PEDRO the Chihuahua, whose adoptive family has just brought him to our shelter for a visit, on his way to the groomers.
Pedro is pictured here with Mohan, our Shelter Supervisor, who has been his main fosterer during his short-term stay with us. (Pedro is accompanied by his green buddy, Frogger, whom he also seeks solace with, at times.)
(We found him (allegedly abandoned) at Toh Crescent in March 2015, with his hind limbs congenitally deformed. Ou...
