Thank you to all of our supporters(online and offline) and volunteers who helped us collect a total of $1,788.95 this week for our new building in Sungei Tengah! We love you and because of you we are that much closer to finishing up our building.

Appeal for Information: Cats found dismembered at Tampines Dormitory
On 15 September 2015 (Tuesday), at about 12 noon, feline body parts, comprising a cat’s tail & two limbs, were found at the premises of a foreign worker dormitory (situated at 2 Tampines Place), by a staff member of the dormitory.

Do:
- keep your pets indoors as much as possible, and if your rabbits / small pets typically are kept at the balcony, bring them in (as the smaller animals are at greater risk of smoke inhalation, due to their smaller lung capacities);

Found, fostered, adopted: LOKI, the kitty
Loki, a male, local, ginger/white-tabby kitten, was brought to our shelter, on 17 June 2015, shortly after being found (possibly abandoned and) alone (without his mother), at the Bedok Reservoir area. He was merely about a month old then, and a little too young to be adopted.

The SPCA was alerted to a video clip featuring an electronic dance music DJ, based in Singapore, putting a dog on a tray and then in an oven, in jest. The clip may have been taken down by now.
We privately messaged the person in question, to remind her of her loyal following, and that whatever actions she undertakes has consequences, especially that arising from the inappropriateness of putting a live animal in the oven, even as a joke.

Recently on 18 August 2015, the SPCA was alerted to a case involving a domestic worker reportedly kicking a small dog repeatedly, at the rooftop garden of a residential unit in Bukit Panjang.
Video footage provided by our informant revealed that the dog was kicked several times, presumably by a foreign domestic worker, as she tugged at it using its leash.
