VIDEO CIRCULATING: ABUSE AT A PET SHOP
The SPCA is aware of a video being recirculated online. It shows a dog at a pet shop, cowering in a corner while getting hit repeatedly with the wand of a vacuum cleaner.
This is an old video which was reported to the SPCA in November 2022. Our Inspectorate had escalated the case to the authorities. They have since taken enforcement action against the offender for causing unnecessary pain or suffering to the dog.

On 27 October 2023 at 2:15am, the SPCA was alerted by a concerned member of public about a dog found at the foot of an HDB flat in Bukit Merah View. The feedback provider observed that the dog was wrapped in a red carpet, shivering and suffering from an extreme skin condition.
