Is It Time For HDB To Allow... Cats In Flats? 20th Feb 2017, by SPCA Singapore
HDB BAN ON PET CATS
We thank The Straits Times for the below article on keeping cats as pets in HDB.
The SPCA has lobbied HDB to remove the ban since it came into force. We are hopeful that there can be some positive changes soon.
The Love Cats pilot in Chong Pang has been a success thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Cat Welfare Society (CWS) and the support of Minister K Shanmugam. We urge MND, HDB and AVA to consider expanding the HDB cat ownership scheme.
With groups like CWS a...

If you’ve been wondering why your dog has been barking a lot lately, please do have a read of this article http://www.spca.org.sg/petcare_details.asp?id=977

Why Was Periodic Culling Not Considered If Chickens Were A Threat? 15th Feb 2017, by SPCA Singapore
CHICKEN CULLING
There are excellent points raised in this letter.
When approaching animal management situations, options other than culling, such as relocation or humane population control, should always be considered first. Since the chickens were culled, many residents from the area (as well as others around the country) have voiced their dismay and disappointment at the decision, as it appears members of the community had developed an affinity for the animals. These residents, if engaged ...

Did you know that rabbits can be easily litter trained?
Rabbits naturally expel waste in one or a few places. So, when litter training your rabbit, place a litter box where he/she naturally chooses to defecate. Do also, limit the area where your rabbit can roam freely until he/she gets used to the litter box.
Learn more about litter training your rabbit at this link http://www.spca.org.sg/petcare_details.asp?id=551
