As we prepare for Easter, please do not buy or adopt rabbits as gifts. Once the novelty wears off, most of these rabbits are often either neglected or abandoned. Remember our appeal for information in a case involving a cross Persian cat, allegedly abandoned in a pet carrier at the void deck of Block 256C Sumang Walk with a uterine rupture and prolapse?
Well, this is a short video clip of her amazing recovery.

NUS researchers have called into question the effectiveness of culling to prevent the spread of diseases.
"The scientists from NUS pointed out that healthy animals should not be culled as a way of managing zoonotic diseases, or diseases that can be transmitted between humans and animals. This strategy does not consider the impact culling has on ecosystems already threatened by urbanisation.

ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT - PAWS
Meet Paws, a local female tabby of two years old.
She was found with abrasion on her muzzle at Boon Lay, after a concerned member of the public called us to inform us of a cat knocked by a motorcycle.
Paws has since recovered and is very agile.
Just watch her in this video clip!

We invite you down to SPCA at 50 Sungei Tengah Road, to meet these two young cats; Kash and Rocky.
Kash is a local, tabby white, male, of approximately 10 months old. Rocky is a black and whilte, male, Persian cross of about a year old.

CAT RESCUE AT PASIR RIS STREET 72
On Sunday, 5 March 2017, we received a call informing us of a distressed cat at Pasir Ris Street 72. The cat had its head stuck in a hole, near a riser, on the sixth storey.
Our animal rescue officers, Suntharam and Loga attended to the call and found a male Ragdoll cross in quite the predicament.
They immediately got down to rescuing the cat, by securing it first before applying some shampoo on it neck, eventually freeing it from the awkward position.
