No To Carrots. Rabbits Are Herbivores And A Common..
16th Jul 2018, by SPCA Singapore

NO TO CARROTS! Rabbits are herbivores and a common misconception is that rabbits eat mainly carrots. However, it is bad and unhealthy for rabbits to eat too many carrots. Carrots are high in sugar, and should be given to rabbits only as an occasional treat and not as their main source of food. A balanced diet for rabbits consists of an unlimited amount of hay, fresh vegetables (eg. bok choy and romaine lettuce), pellets, and fresh water.

Why Is My Dog Barking ?. We Are Often Asked How To..
9th Jul 2018, by SPCA Singapore

WHY IS MY DOG BARKING ? We are often asked how to curb unnecessary barking in dogs. Dogs bark in a variety of situations: in excitement, in fear, to warn, in frustration, to guard, or it may have learned that barking results in something that it wants, e.g attention. The key to addressing unnecessary barking is to find out what is causing the dog to bark and then removing the cause or causes of that barking. The aim is not to stop all barking for good , but to get the barking down to a lev...

Dont Shower Me With Water. Shower Me With Love. We..
2nd Jul 2018, by SPCA Singapore

DON’T SHOWER ME WITH WATER. SHOWER ME WITH LOVE! We are often asked whether a hamster can be bathed using water. Hamsters have a layer of essential oils on their fur to keep themselves healthy. By giving it a bath using water, the layer of essential oils will be stripped off and the hamster may catch a cold. If necessary, owners may use a warm damp towel to spot clean the hamster, and keep it in a warm area to dry naturally. It is interesting to note that as hamsters are clean creatures whi...

18th Jun 2018, by SPCA Singapore

A SCRATCHING POST IS A MUST For cats, scratching to keep their claws in shape is as necessary as eating and breathing.
