Sweet, Friendly Bel Needs A Home She Was One Month..
1st Aug 2019, by SPCA Singapore

Sweet, friendly Bel needs a home! She was one month old when we rescued her. She suffered two deep open wounds on both sides of her ears, possibly due to a severe ear infection or bites from another animal. We couldn’t locate her mother. Both wounds had to be cleaned daily while Bel was bottle-fed with milk replacement. But after round-the-clock nursing, she made a full recovery and is now her playful self. Remember, pets are for life. If you’re committed to taking good care of one, visit...

Over the past few weeks, our vets attempted to reduce the prolapsed rectum, and the little one has been on cage rest. With regular acupuncture and rehabilitation exercises, he is now getting better and is able to walk again! Tomorrow...

3 Reasons Why You Should Leash Your Dog. We Recent..
16th Jul 2019, by SPCA Singapore

3 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD LEASH YOUR DOG We recently received a number of calls regarding dog owners letting their fur kids run free in public spaces so we’re here to remind every dog owner to leash up. Here’s why: 1. You can be fined up to S$5,000 for not leashing your dog in public spaces. No one wants to break the law, especially in Singapore. You could buy at least 2000 kopi pengs with that money (or donate the money to SPCA). 2. You don’t want your dog accidentally running to the...

Mesh Up ... Cats Do Not Have Nine Lives!
1st Jul 2019, by SPCA Singapore

MESH UP - CATS DO NOT HAVE NINE LIVES Cats are agile animals but the truth is they can really hurt themselves if they fall. Contrary to popular belief, cats do NOT have nine lives. There have been reports of cats accidentally falling out of an open window when they chase a bird or when a butterfly flies past a window. Injuries sustained from falls range from sprains, bone fractures, respiratory issues and even death. Accidents such as the above can be avoided by taking the necessary pre...

24th Jun 2019, by SPCA Singapore

HAVING A PET WHILE WORKING FULL TIME Most of us work full time and leaving your dog alone for long hours can have a negative impact on its behaviour and quality of life. Dogs and many other pets are capable of feeling bored out of their minds, just as humans are. If you do have to leave your dog at home during the workday, keep it happy. “The worst mental punishment a dog can be given is to be kept alone in a tightly confined space where nothing varies,” wrote biologist Desmond Morris...
