8 LUCKY PUPPIES OVER CNY
Community caregivers notified SPCA’s TNRM (Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage) team about a dog that no one knew was pregnant. It was hard to track her down, but the team pressed on until they found her in an abandoned building with 8 pups trailing behind her! She was then trapped and brought to SPCA with her babies. Their eyes were still closed when they arrived at our shelter.

Did you know that white cats have a higher risk of skin cancer compared to other felines? This is often caused by sun exposure, which is why they need fur coverage! Squamous Cell Carcinoma is the most common cancer in white cats; it’s painful, disfiguring, and fatal if left untreated.

[SPECIAL NEEDS] ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT: LUCY
Meowlo!! I’m Lucy! ฅ/ᐠ. ̫ .ᐟ\ฅ As you can tell, the first thing you’d notice about me are my lumps. I was rescued in May 2020 with rashes all over my body. SPCA’s doctor diagnosed me with MCT — a low-grade mast cell tumour (a type of skin cancer). Though I will itch all my life, my condition can be managed with medication. Don’t worry, future family, it’s not contagious and won’t affect other pets.

We restocked our masks sold at SPCA’s shop! They may not be the exact same prints, but definitely still as cute as our animals. 🤗 We’ve also worked hard and brought back more 2021 calendars, t-shirts, tote bags and umbrellas. HOLLA, THIS IS REX. I found a home!!! I first joined my family with lots of excitement (and kinda lost control 🙊). I chewed up shoes and furniture, ripped up pee pads, and even nipped my pawrents. Outside the house, I would bolt during walks.

A CAT CHRISTMAS TREE 🎄🐱
SPCA was invited to decorate a tree at Botanic Gardens, and cat ornaments are the only ornaments we need! Cats on trees however… are not always this cute. We wish to raise awareness about the High Rise Syndrome (HRS) problem in Singapore, as we receive around 5 cases per week of cats falling from height.
Reduce the risks of your cats being stuck on high places by keeping them safe indoors. Mesh up your windows and doors!

In the evening of 12 December 2020, at the void deck of Blk 470B Fernvale Link, a cat was found dead with its hind leg severed. A knife was found nearby. The SPCA and the authorities are investigating the case.
The SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person(s) responsible for this act.

ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT: TOFU
I am soft and white.. basically a tofu. The most manja (affectionate) boy is me. (─‿‿─) But my skin wasn’t always tofu-like. When I arrived at SPCA in April this year, I had skin disease and patchy fur. Shelter dad said I had to look my best to find a home. So I stopped scratches and recovered in July!
But... no one has brought me home yet, even though I am good boi. Maybe people find me old. But I’m only 5! I just prefer laying next to you than chasing toy...
