JOSHUA, FRACTURED JAW
Found bleeding from his mouth at Ang Mo Kio, Joshua was rescued back to #SPCASingapore, and was diagnosed with a fractured jaw. His injury is suspected to be the result of acute trauma. Unable to close his mouth, he was therefore unable to eat and was constantly drooling. His bottom canine was also poking the roof of his mouth. A feeding tube was placed to provide supplementary feeding.

HUGO, TRAUMA ACCIDENT
Found injured and limping around Jurong West, Hugo was rescued to #SPCASingapore. X-rays revealed that he had dislocated his left hip, an injury suspected to be caused by traumatic accidents such as fall from height / being hit by a vehicle. Hip surgery was done in-house at SPCA’s Community Animal Clinic, this same surgery would cost between $1,000 - $2,000 in a private vet clinic.

"From #LiveTransport, limited (or lack of) movements, handling, storage, slaughter to display in food establishments, these animals go through a lot of stress. The least that could be done is to ensure these animals are not subjected to undue stress or discomfort during the above."

BORNEO, TICK BITE [EHRLICHIA]
Surrendered to #SPCASingapore, Borneo was found positive for Ehrlichia, a type of bacteria transmitted through being bitten by a tick. Commonly known as Tick Fever, it is a disease that causes various symptoms including fever, lethargy, and drop in appetite. It may even lead to bleeding disorder and become life-threatening.
Borneo has since received treatment at SPCA's Community Animal Clinic and is now free of clinical disease.
