KITTEN STUCK UNDER VENT
#SPCASingapore was informed of a kitten hiding under a carpark vent at Queenstown. Mewing loudly, he was clearly in distress. After ~30mins, our Rescue Officer finally managed to get the tiny kitten out after luring him with some food. He was a little stressed out from the heat and anxiety, but otherwise healthy with no injuries! Chayen (named after the Thai milk tea!) has since found his #foreverhome.
Your vigilance plays a huge part in helping our injured, sick, distr...

Happy Tales Vico. Wooflo I Am Vico And I Am The Cu.. 27th Mar 2022, by SPCA Singapore
HAPPY TALES: VICO
Wooflo! I am Vico and I am the cutest doggo ever, because that’s what hooman said the moment she saw me, “Sooo cute!” ヾ( ˃ᴗ˂ )◞ • *
When I first met my furmily, I was a really shy boy. New sounds like fans and hairdryers scared me, but I knew my hooman would always have my back. Hooman turned her entire life around for me just because she wanted to spend all her time with me! Not only did she become my everything, I was hers too. As we grew together, she was a...

Adoption Spotlight Rocky. It Has Been Almost 3 Yea.. 26th Mar 2022, by SPCA Singapore
ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT: ROCKY
It has been almost 3 years since I entered this place. I was brought here because I got annoyed at my hoomans and accidentally nipped them. I initially thought it was temporary and waited patiently for them to come back. But as days turned into months, I realized, they were never coming back for me. I wish I could say I am sorry, that I tried to tell them why I wasn’t happy… but I’ll never get the chance to now.
This place has since become my home. While these h...

CAT SQUATTER RESCUED AT UOB PLAZA
#SPCASingapore was first notified of a cat (with a neck growth) stuck in a drain at Raffles Place of UOB Plaza by a concerned caller who checks up on her regularly. Our officers were led to the ventilation fan room where they managed to distract kitty with delicious treats! Suc...

Upon examinations, our vets concluded that the puncture wound was more likely caused by a dog bite.
Bite wounds are a cause of concern due to the high risk of infection. When the tooth punctures the skin, bacteria from the aggr...

Maggot Treatment In Armpit. Aiko Was Found At The .. 7th Mar 2022, by SPCA Singapore
MAGGOT TREATMENT IN ARMPIT
Aiko was found at The Sail at Marina Bay with an open wound in his right armpit. He was wearing a collar which unfortunately got stuck under his armpit, causing an open lesion due to prolonged friction. In an attempt to get the large wound to close by itself, Aiko’s wound was bandaged with sterile maggots (thank you Cuprina!) contained in a bag (baggot!), which #SPCASingapore Community Animal Clinic’s vets hoped would help granulation tissue formation.
While the...

OUCH! FISH HOOK IN CAT’S PAW
A limping cat was found near Lavender MRT Station, and upon further examination, a fish hook was found embedded in its paw! When fishhooks puncture the skin, the curved structure makes it impossible for animals to remove it on their own. The injury can lead to severe bleeding, or even develop into a bacteria infection. #SPCASingapore was called, and poor meow was promptly brought to our Community Animal Clinic for treatment. Under sedation, his nasty hook was remo...
