The weather has been hot and you can see animals hiding from the sun and chilling in the shady comfort of our estates. On the 25th of August we received a call Blk 484D Choa Chu Kang about a tabby that thought it would be a good idea to sit himself on an air condition compressor three storeys up and just enjoy the breeze. Little does he know that it is easy to go up there but harrowing to get down again. Our officers managed to get him off the compressor and released him nearby. Watch this video...

Row Roohhh!! Farrah is such a silly little cutie. She simply loves her belly rubs and she loves them so much that she plops herself on the floor, ears pinned back and enjoys it. You can see here she is so fond of bellyrubs that her eyes are dilated and she wears the grin from ear to ear. Our wonderful youths strike again! Class 4G2 of Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary) sold cookies to raise funds for the animals. They collected a princely sum of $500 and 3 student reps and their super supportive teacher, Mr Chua personally come down to the SPCA to hand over the donation. You guys are truly amazing. Guinea pigs are often associated with hamsters and sometimes they are known as “large hamsters”. Therefore, there are often misconceptions about guinea pigs due to this association. What a lovely time we had in the north of Singapore today. We were there to create awareness with the lower secondary pupils of Yishun Town Secondary. At the end of the session, we were presented with a cheque for $600 from the class of 4N1. The students raised the money by making home–made ice pops and at the same time carried out a donation drive and distributed flyers to all the classes to spread the message of preventing animal abuse and caring for pets.
