Tuesday' s Adoption Spotlight: Grumpy Age: 5 years Breed :Cross-Ragdoll Grumpy is pretty and unique, with a character to match! This feisty boy doesn't take to people immediately. You'll have to win him over with lots of patience and tact. He is not suitable for a family with young children, and should be going home with experienced cat owners who will understand his quirks. We advocate responsible pet ownership, so if you think you're ready to help us foster a sick or young animal, ...

~~ Super Cool Books ~~: GHOSTLY | Download Free CATS ARE COOL Learning Kit
30th Apr 2013, by SPCA Singapore

We get many calls from people who aren't tolerant of cats in our neighborhoods. These community animals have every right to be there; we're not the only ones with the right to live. Cats are awesome creatures, and if you spend some time watching and getting to know them, you'd be convinced of that fact too. Not sure how/where to start? Apart from hanging out with the cats in your neighborhood, here's a great kit to learn from. It's free and purrfect for educators and parents too. It's time we t...

Monday' s Adoption Spotlight: Ida Age: 8 years 1 month Breed :Cross-breed Ida is a female mixed breed with one of the friendliest faces you’ll ever see on a dog. She enjoys being with people and would make an excellent family pet. She is a medium size girl and likes to exercise, so she would do best in a home with a garden or access to a public dog run. She is sociable with other friendly dogs but needs to be introduced to them slowly. She is very pretty (she looks like she’s wearin...

26th Apr 2013, by SPCA Singapore

True or False: Cats are unhappy kept indoors. F.A.L.S.E. While some still think that cats need to run in the great outdoors to be happy, many cat lovers are now aware that indoor cats are not necessarily unhappier and are definitely safer. When we decide to bring home a cat, we take on the responsibility for their health and welfare. For those who still think that they should let their home cats roam free, here are some reasons to hopefully convince you otherwise. 1. An indoor cat is relativel...

Friday' s Adoption Spotlight: Brown Age: 1 year 6 months Breed : Holland Lop He's cute and fluffy, but definitely isn't a toy. Unfortunately for Brown, his previous owner didn't understand that. Like any Holland Lop, Brown needs regular grooming to maintain his coat, and needs adequate exercise and space to move around in. Rabbits shouldn't be kept in cages all day. Are you ready to make a 10-year commitment to this lovely rabbit? We advocate responsible pet ownership, so if you thin...

Today, Patricia has opened her doors to these three lovely kittens that were found in a park, by becoming a foster parent to them. The main intention of the SPCA Foster Care programme is to save the lives of very young animals whose chances of surviving in a kennel environment (without falling sick) are slim. Fostering these young or sick animals out, is an avenue that the SPCA turns to. Fostering an animal can be a wonderful bonding experience for you and your family. The rewards are intangi...
