Today, Yuvraj came with his parents to visit the animals in our shelter. What's so special about this boy? Yuvraj turned seven yesterday and will be having his birthday party tomorrow. The only difference is, he won't be receiving any presents. Yuvraj has asked his friends to bring him cash/cheques instead. He's collecting the money (that would have otherwise gone towards buying him birthday presents) and donating the whole sum to our animals.
He may only be seven, but this boy's on to somet...

Fun Fact of the Day!
Studies show that a lovingly handled dog is a healthier dog. The touch of the human hand improves the functions of virtually all the sustaining systems: respiratory, circulatory, digestive and so on.
In new born puppies, a frequently petted puppy is not only healthierand happier, but also better behaved. Dogs like humans, find solace in touching another living being, which is another reason why they get along so well together.
A little love never goes wrong and it goes a ...

“Why can’t I let my dog run loose? He’s well trained.”
Some dog owners think it’s cruel to leash their dogs because it denies them “freedom”. Others insist that their dogs know how to walk without the leash. But here’s why you shouldn’t let your dog run loose when outside the house (fenced-up dog runs are a different story)…
1. People have the right to walk in public without being confronted by a loose dog. Free-roaming dogs scare children and adults who are unable to tell ...

Rescue Story of the Day!
Yesterday, our Animal Rescue Officers (AROs) tackled a tricky case where a kitten was stuck deep between a wall and shutters at a coffee shop in Potong Pasir.
After some time, our AROs managed to get the kitten out of harm's way. We checked to ensure it was in the pink of health and was not hurt. The kitten is presently in quarantine at our shelter and will be up for adoption soon!
Keep watching this space! :)

These two kittens along with another three of their siblings were found in a box at Silat Road yesterday. Initially, the box was placed in a garbage disposal. We were notified about this and went down immediately to see the kittens, who had then been taken out of the ...

Fun Fact of the Day!
Dogs have an amazing internal clock. They know exactly when it’s time to go for a walk, to play, to eat and to go to bed. They know when it’s time for you to get up in the morning and when you are expected home from work, particularly if you keep to a regular schedule. You might want to consider using your dog as your morning alarm clock!
