This tri-color female Shih Tzu puppy, estimated to be about 2 months old, was found abandoned at the void deck of Block 449, Bukit Panjang Ring Rd. The finder brought the puppy to our shelter the following morning, where it was tested positive for parvovirus. A kind soul volunteered to have it treated at a private clinic. We were alerted to this case by a member of the public, who had found the rabbit abandoned near the playground at Block 68 Toa Payoh Lorong 5. The rabbit was severely emaciated and in a very bad condition. Our Animal Rescue Officer brought the animal back to our shelter to get medical attention immediately. We received an emergency call today about an animal in distress and boy was our Animal Rescue Officer surprised when he arrived on the scene! Unable to fly, this bird was found on a void deck in Yishun by a resident. Our Rescue Officer managed to bring the injured bird back to our shelter, and the bird is now on its way in our rescue vehicle to Jurong Bird Park, where the vets have better expertise with wild birds.
