Adoption Spotlight: Eureka and Europa.
These two lovely guinea pigs are looking for a home! 1-year-old Europa is the mommy to our 4-month-old Eureka, and both darlings would love to go home together. These gorgeous Abyssinians want a good family who knows how to appreciate guinea pigs and take good care of them. Being social creatures, guinea pigs do better with a companion of the same gender, so we want Eureka and Europa to go to the same home. You'll fall in love with their special squeaks ...

Guess who we ran into at the recent Discover Dogs event held at the Singapore Expo?
Frosty, Dasher and Shine (not pictured here) were adopted from our shelter, and we were pleasantly surprised when they dropped by our booth to say hi! Among the many prizes our three ex-SPCA darlings went home with, Shine (a lovely Singapore Special) came in 2nd place for Best Kept and also took home the title of Fastest Eater.
Nothing beats seeing our animals happy with their forever families <3

She's waiting for her human to come discover what a lovely girl she is, and is eager to be part of a family she can call her own. She'll make a great com...

Positive Reinforcement Training...
What it is:
Motivating a dog to make good choices, and rewarding it when it does. The reward reinforces the good behaviour that we want, and the dog is more likely to repeat that same desired behaviour in another similar ...

Here’s the final part in a series of what to watch out for when cat-proofing your home (we’re quite sure some parts apply to other animals too!).
Household danger #3: Windows and balconies
Every window that you plan to open needs to have a cat-proof screen that fits the window frame securely enough to stay firmly in place when confronted by your cat. Ordinary screens can be easily torn by claws or teeth. A fall from a second- or third-story window could cause serious injury or death.

We received a call from the public early this morning at about 8am. The caller had spotted an animal in distress, struggling to get out of its predicament. Our Animal Rescue Officers (AROs) arrived on the scene to find a tiny kitten stranded in the middle of a canal, wailing and pining for her mom. Our AROs discovered the kitten's mom hanging around the edge of the canal, unable to get to her baby.
After much effort, our AROs got the darling out of the canal, checked her for injuries, and reu...

A cat chewing on your houseplants is more than an annoyance. It can be dangerous or even fatal to your cat.
While all cats will eat grass or plants to purge themselves, some plants have particularly serious effects. The list of potentially poisonous plants is long (refer to http://www.aspca.org/pet-ca...
