Our "I love my pet because..." photo competition has come to an end and we have the winners!

Just a day before Chinese New Year, we received a call about a cat stuck in a tree. Our Junior Inspectors (JIs) arrived on the scene and made many attempts to rescue the hapless cat. Unfortunately, we did not have the necessary equipment. The cat was high up in an inverted cone-shaped tree with many branches in the way, preventing us from using our ladders safely. Happy Koko is a 6-month-old puppy who is growing fast in our shelter. He didn't get such a great start in life, and is wary of strangers. This lovely black Tuxedo community cat was brought in with a tooth abscess. Our consultant vet gave her a check-up and found that she could also be suffering from renal failure. We did some tests and found that this girl is also FIV-positive.
Because of her condition, we're keeping her isolated from the cats in our shelter. We've been treating her tooth abscess and monitoring her condition for the past week, flushing her twice a week with fluids to rid the toxins in her kidneys. She is also on ...

Tell Instagram To Stop Allowing The Sale Of Live Animals

They've managed to convince leading online companies such as Amazon, Craigslist, and eBay to take down the sale of dogs and cats on their websites. Instagram has yet to join the list, and it's time they should.

It's the 7th day of the Chinese New Year festival, also known as Renri, the common person's birthday when everyone grows a year older. Thanks to a generous sponsor, our shelter dogs get a chance to celebrate too!
Our shelter dogs enjoyed their Chinese New Year meatloaf made by The Barkery Singapore and sponsored by Ms Karen Chin. Our staff and volunteers also had a great time watching the lovelies devour their treat. Thank you, Karen!
