ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT: A most heart-warming WINTER
This is one Winter that is bound to spellbind you, thanks to his immaculate coat of white. Most winters give you the chill, and this particular one's way too cool to ignore!
This bubbly boy would need regular grooming to maintain his coat, though. The family who adopts him must not mind some fur flying around the house, too, as his wintry coat is always there, making its presence felt! Though Winter is a mere 1 year and 1 month wise, he's alread...

An important part of being a good dog owner is being able to read how our dog responds to us or to a certain situation. We can communicate with our dogs by observing their body language, looking out for stress signals that tell us if our dog is still enjoying itself, merely tolerating what’s happening, or has had enough.
How do we read our dog's body language?
Here's the eighth installment of our dog stress alert tips, crafted by Kang Nee (a certified professional dog trainer who works with ...

Businessman Gets Maximum Fine Of S$10,000 For Dog Abuse 25th Apr 2014, by SPCA Singapore
We are pleased with the court's decision on this case, to mete out the maximum fine of S$10,000 for animal cruelty.
Responsible pet owners should be proactive in providing adequate food and shelter as well as timely veterinary care for all of their pets. Such a responsibility should neither be taken lightly, nor passed conveniently to someone else, as we were quoted in The New Paper (25 April 2014) and in The Straits Times (25 April 2014).
We hope that with this verdict passed, all pet owner...

Our Animal Support Officers received a call two weekends ago about a dog found inside a canal opposite Jurong Point Shopping Centre and our Junior Inspectors were immediately despatched. One of the cats that we sterilized during our recent trap-neuter-return trips to St John's Island was found with a fish hook lodged in its mouth. Concerned, the caretakers on the island contacted us and we made arrangements for the cat to be transported back to Singapore for an operation. The nasty wound took a while to recover but our lovely cat did well. It's done with its course of medication and we'll be releasing it back on St John's Island.
To prevent future mishaps, we're coming up with ...
