Canine Education, un-leashed at the SPCA!
We had a great time at Nee Kang’s "Reading Your Dog" Workshop last Saturday (19 July)!
We are very grateful to Nee and those who attended, and are confident that these talks would go a long way in helping raise awareness and the know-how of enriching the lives of our dogs.

We posted the Adoption Tale of Tabby (formerly Baby; adopted by Helen Quah), on 27 May 2014. Tabby's progress - at fighting diabetes - deserves mention here....
Tabby's diabetic condition is now in remission, and she no longer needs insulin injections (unlike months ago!). Our feline friend is poised on her way to recovery!

…. And another 10 animals adopted, the past weekend!
We bid a fond farewell to:
- 1 dog (a Jack Russell),
- 6 kittens (whoa!),
- 2 cats, &
- 1 hamster,
for having found their forever homes, thus embarking on new journeys with their respective new owners/families. Thank you, adopters, for believing in the positive difference they’ll make to your homes!

Loyal Dog Rescued After Waiting A Year For His Deceased Owner To Come Home

Dogs’ loyalty to their owners knows no bounds….
Woody the dog, left behind by his deceased owner, waited a year for the owner to return - before he got rescued.
When Woody's owner died last year, he had to fend for himself outside, all alone and deserted. He, of course, could not tell his owner wouldn’t return for him, so he waited.
And waited. And took refuge in the space beneath a nearby shed. His hair became matted and overgrown, concealing his starved condition.

Another weekend passed, another 17 animals successfully adopted!
We bid a fond farewell to

SPCA Singapore welcomes donations of old newspapers (These could be used for lining our animals’ cages and carriers, among other uses at the shelter)….
So, make good use, of old news! Give them a new life, and a second chance.
Don’t bin the outdated newspapers, donate them to SPCA!
(SPCA’s reception office, at 31 Mount Vernon Road, operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; You can send your old newspapers our way, any day, any time.:))

Deaf Dachshund Overcomes Early Life Of Misery To Become A Very Happy Dog (VIDEO)

Adopted doggies can be so happy that they wag their tails while asleep!
