Dearest ALL,
SPCA Seberang Perai has only very limited manpower. Mdm. Tan with her 2 workers are practically the only ones running the shelter with occasional volunteers. The shelter is not capable of going around the whole state picking up strays everytime you send in a request. Those who wants to surrender your pet(s) or intend to send in a stray to the shelter will need to contact Mdm. Tan at 012-5523447 to enquire if there are space available. Hey.. Sorry to disturb.. My hubby saw a dog on the way down fr Bt fghi..the dog probably hit by car n struggling to walk only by the hands .. Guess the leg broken liou.. Pls if u c can u pls ask someone to help him.. We will bear the medical cost.. We can't go over coz my bb got no one to take care.. If u do c.. Pls help me.. Don't breed and buy. Spay your pets. Stop contributing to the number of strays of the street.
The shelter has been receiving increasing number of pregnant mamas lately, eventually giving birth in the shelter. Some newborns survived, some don't.
Please, if you have the heart...help to stop this. SPAY & NEUTER!

Appeal from Sakia: A week ago, I picked up an abandoned kitten, about 3-4 months old, from the Pulau Tikus market despite serious doubts about how I’d keep her as we, me and my husband, travel often and then we’re returning to Indonesia around June-July. She’s a very sweet kitten and was a breeze to litter-train her.

SPCA Seberang Perai is badly in need of a larger and permanent premise in order to carry on its noble cause on a bigger scale. To this, the society has planned a singing concert to be held on 26.11.11 (7.30pm) at the function hall of the Moral Uplifting Society at Taman Kuari, Bukit Mertajam. Mr. Cheung is currently fostering a mama dog with her 7puppies that she had recently given birth to. Mr. Cheung's neighbour was about to call the council to have the mama and pups removed permanently before Mr. Cheung decide to take them in temporary in hope to save their lives. There are total 4 males and 3 females. We are seeking for adopters to come forward to adopt the puppies there after which the mama dog will be taken for spaying. The puppies are not ready to be separated from their mama ...

[Appeal from Beatrice] The squatters at Mt Erskine hokkien cemetery have been served eviction order by the land owner. The deadline is 1 month's time. There are more than 20 adult dogs mostly all with skin disease. The 1st photo is a litter of 1 month old puppies 2 male & 3 female. 2nd photo is a young adult dog which looks rather healthy and disease free that may be adoptable. The squatters are saying they will be abandoning the un-adopted dogs at Mt Erskine market when the time comes for them...
