Remember Mila who was recently rescued after she was found collapsed on the streets? Yes, she is the malnourished girl, weighting only a mild 3.6kgs that comes with a serious infected skin.
Mila urgently needs a foster home. With her condition, we are unable to put her in the shelter. Her skin condition is now very sensitive thus needs to apply medication still for a period of time until her skin becomes healthier. The night's adoption drive has wrap-up with a total of 14 young puppies adopted.
We are truly glad of the support showered by our fellow supporters. And indeed, we are touched knowing that more people are opting for adoption instead of buying.

SPCA SEBERANG PERAI will be holding our Pet Adoption Day at Autocity (in front of Shop-In D'Park) on 3rd January 2015 from 7pm to 10pm.
Come adopt one of our furkid and you will never regret you ever did. Remember, you are not just giving the furkid a better life, you are giving yourself one, too!
And for those who wish to drop in any donation items (rice, eggs, fresh milk or kibbles) may do so at our booth on that night.

Today is the first working day in 2015, if you have dog(s) and if you are residing in Sebarang Perai, by law you need to register your dog with MPSP. The maximum numbers of dogs allowed is depends on the type of house :
* Flat (Ground Floor) - 1 dog
* Terraced House - 2 dogs
* Semi-D/ Corner House - 3 dogs
* Banglo - 4 dogs
* Kampung House- 4 dogs
* Estate/Factory/Warehouse - 6 dogs
++++ Licence Fee is RM10 per dog ++++

We need help to get this litter of 7 stray puppies (3 females & 4 males) adopted. One of their sibling already gone to rainbow bridge, leaving these 7...Such is the life of strays. You will never know if there is a tomorrow for them.

This is our latest case.
A shih tzu was found abandoned by the roadside at Bagan Lallang, today. Upon discovering her, our volunteer thought she was already dead. She was practically lying there, motionless and not responding to any callings.
Our volunteer picked her up and immediately sent her to Gill Veterinary Clinic. She weighted only a miserable 3.6kgs with 60% of her fat lost. She also has severe skin problem and her nails are pitifully too long due to long term caging. As a result, she...

Our first time having adoption drive at Occupy Beach Street.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the organizer for allowing us to setup a booth at the venue to conduct our pet adoption drive.
The event has managed to help 4 puppies adopted. We hope to continue conducting more adoption drives and help more furkids find their forever homes.

This female dog was dumped by a woman in front of our shelter under the rain yesterday with a huge growth at her vagina and required vet attention.
After consulting the vet, we are adviced to put her on a series of chemo treatments which consists of a weekly injection for the continuous 5 weeks. As the dog will need to be quarantined during this period and also be kept in a hygienic place, we may need to board the dog at the clinic until full recovery.

Mdm. Tan received a call from an unknown lady yesterday afternoon while she was driving and insists that she is outside the shelter and that there is a dog she wants to surrender in.
Mdm. Tan told her to hang on till she arrives. Unfortunately, by the time Mdm. Tan reaches the shelter, the dog was tied outside, at the gate under the drizzling rain and the lady is nowhere to be seen. Mdm. Tan took the dog in and to her horror, she found a huge tumour-like growth at her vagina.

11 puppies adopted from this morning's adoption drive at Kampung Baru Market, Bukit Mertajam.
We sincerely send our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and adopters who came to support us today. You managed to make a change to the lives of these puppies.
