Bravery, the young puppy dumped outside our shelter with a huge open wound and one missing ear has yet to be discharged from the clinic. Other than her physical wound, she was also diagnosed with pneumonia (lung infection) thus the vet would need to monitor until her condition is stable and well enough to undergo her 2nd surgery.
Sigh...so young but already she had gone through near death experience. We named her Bravery in hope that she, like her name, will braved through all these hurdles.

This mama dog that was earlier sent for surgery due to her prolapsed uterus has since been discharged and is now back to the shelter.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all donors who had been so helpful in contributing to her medical bill.

This girl was found by a good Samaritan at Taman Bukit, Bukit Mertajam and sent to our shelter.

SPCA SEBERANG PERAI will be holding our Pet Adoption Day at Autocity (in front of Shop-In D'Park) on 23rd May 2015 from 7pm to 10pm.
Besides helping our fur-kids find good homes, we are also collecting donation items such as rice, eggs, fresh milk or kibbles.

SPCA SEBERANG PERAI was formed in September 2005. It is a charitable non-profit organization. We practice non-kill policy and ensure that animals are safe whilst waiting to find a new home. Our kennels are always full with a long list of animals waiting to come in.
Currently, there are around 700 dogs and puppies and 80 cats and kittens in our shelter. SPCA SEBERANG PERAI needs approximately 10 packets of 10kgs rice daily to feed the many hundreds of furry kids at the shelter and also to prepar...

This is by far one of the worse case we have accepted into our shelter.
Bravery (name given due to her bravery and strong will to survive) was abandoned outside our shelter in a very bad shape. Foul smell was coming out from the fresh huge open wound on her back. And add on to our horror was she left only with only one ear. Whether she has been attacked by other dogs or been intentionally abused by some sick humans, we do not know. All we know is that we have to save this fragile life standing ...

This mama dog rescued from the pound with prolapse uterus has also undergone her surgery today.
All went well for her and she has since waken up from her anaesthetic and eating well.
We will just let her recuperate at the vet clinic for a couple of days to monitor her condition before sending her back to our shelter.

Puppy that was abandoned outside our shelter with a huge open wound and missing ear is currently recuperating at the vet clinic.
It's wound has been cleaned and stitched up, however he still need to undergo another surgery to stitch up his ear that has been sliced off.
Puppy's condition is currently quite weak with lack of appetite.
Let us all pray that he will pull through this ordeal and grow up to be a strong and healthy furkid. Amen!

Our shelter is constantly in need of volunteers to help us. There are always plenty of work to do in the shelter, whether it's bathing the dogs, de-ticking dogs, painting the kennels/cages, or looking after the cats.
We would like to thank all the volunteers who came to help us out last Sunday. They have managed to bath more than 30 over dogs. Great job!

She now has a permanent warm and cosy home.
After fostering Mila for 5 months, her fosterer had a heavy heart to let Mila go and decided to keep Mila forever. Thank you very much Bessie for giving Mila a permanent home. May God bless you always 💙💚💜💛
