Dog catchers from MBPP (Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang) in action!
If the culling order has been lifted, why are they still out to get these dogs? And why are NGOs being turned away from entering the pound to assist? Is killing the strays to help achieve the zero-stray objective the main motive behind this action?

Veterinary Department Targets 10,000 Rabies Vaccin..

Today, we attended the first newly setup committee meeting organised by DVS in Bukit Tengah, Penang. As of current, all house dogs are required to be vaccinated.
Upcoming phase : All “Managed Dogs”, taken care of by local communities/feeders at specific locations throughout Penang will be vaccinated.
As for the rest of the strays dogs, DVS will have to wait for a detailed "vaccination and population control" proposal from WVS before deciding on the next move.

See how his flesh grows and is about to cover his skull - what an incredible recovery. Excellent appetite and never waste his food. He loves human touch and always waits patiently for the Dr to come change his dressing.
No words can describe how we felt about his recovery and we are forever thankful to the people who are supportive in giving a helping hand and positive vibe towards Mask.

Penang's inhumane decision to cull all strays in response to the recent rabies outbreak had created the attention of many NGOs worldwide. Most, if not ALL are against the killing but sadly Penang decided to continue culling until the rabies vaccine arrives.
