SPCA Seberang Perai will be holding a fundraising concert to raise fund for our new shelter on 30 October 2016 (Sunday), 7pm at Ng Yam Huat Hall Bukit Mertajam. Tickets are priced at RM50, RM80 & RM100. Please PM us for more details.

Do you still remember August?
He was rescued on the streets with a serious maggots eating wound on his head that blinded his eyesight causing him to fall into a drain when rescuer found him.
The wound was so serious that the vet had to take a few days just to clear up the maggots. And soon after, his condition suddenly took a turn for the worse where he needed immediately blood transfusion.

August's condition seems to worsen this morning. He looked lethargic with paling gums and decreasing appetite. Vet advised that a blood transfusion needs to be done in order to safe him.
Please help us keep August in your prayers and hope he will pull through.
We shall keep everyone posted with his updates.

August was rescued today by a passerby, Austin at Kampung Kastam. August was spotted wondering aimlessly on the street and later fall right into a drain. Upon seeing this, Austin rushed to his rescued and only then did he noticed the huge open wound on his face filled with maggots.
August was sent to the veterinary clinic where he is recuperating now. The vet has helped to clean most of the maggots out but there are still some hidden deep in the wound which the vet will continue to clean them o...

August is feeling better after the blood transfusion and is now able to stand and eat on his own. However, his condition is still critical and need to be under closed observation for the next few days.

💙 The Story Of Mask 💚

Exactly one year ago, Mask was found at a temple with half of his face horribly infested with maggots. Due to this, he lost one of his eyes. Now his skin is completely grown and fully covered his facial bone. He is a cheerful and high spirited boy. A big thank you to Mask's rescuer / saviour and now fosterer (Lynn) for taking such good care of him. Thanks to the public for your prayers n well wishes to Mask 💛

9 Puppies Were Adopted To 6 Families Last Night Du..

9 puppies were adopted to 6 families last night during our adoption drive at Autocity.
Thank you for supporting adoption.
For those who missed out the event and are interested to adopt a pet may visit us directly at the shelter today between 3.30-6pm. We are located at No. 162, Jalan Kampung Besar, Berapit, 14000 Bukit Mertajam.
Alternatively, we will again be at Autocity next Saturday, same place, same time. Do come see us there!
