Rescue After Rescue (1/5): Nugget And Buddy 9th Jul 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
We had an influx of rescue cases flowing in over the past
few weeks we could honestly barely cope. Practically, we do know we cannot save
everybody, every single dog on the street. But if you happen to see an unwell
dog in front of you, can you walk away? We are unable to. Be it a major problem
or a minor one, if a minor ailment can be rendered medical attention in time,
one more precious life is saved as well as further health complications. We try
our best.Nonetheless, all these require time...

Chloe's Update & Little Brownie Whom We Had To Say Goodbye To.. 28th Jun 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
It has been a month
since we took Chloe in (http://noahsarkcares.blogspot.sg/2015/05/chloe-an d-her-innocent-puppies.html), and we do have both positive and not so positive
updates. Well, this is the practicality of rescue work we have to admit. It is
never a bed of roses. The good news is,
Chloe has been coping with the chemo jabs very well and her tumor has shrunk
considerably. She also has a huge appetite! It really does help that
she is young and her body is able to withstand the ef...

Dear Friends of Noah's Ark
It is that highly anticipated time of the year again when we invite supporters, friends and donors that have been journeying with Noah's Ark since its move from Singapore to Malaysia in the year 2000. Do join us for a night of celebration with actress and emcee Pamela Oei in marking yet another important milestone in animal welfare.
Noah's Ark would not be a possibility without the support and work of the people who ha...

Chloe And Her Innocent Puppies 27th May 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
With the advancement of social media,
we can often see news spreading far and wide within a short span of time and
across the borders effortlessly. Within the animal welfare circle itself, we often get
endless appeals for help too especially on Facebook. More often than not,
mongrels unfortunately “hog the limelight” - as strict housing regulations
disallow legal ownership of them in flats which majority of us reside in, and
in some areas without (responsible) caregivers, the u...

Little Mandy For Adoption! 29th Mar 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
We had friends and supporters writing in to us asking how
is the little girl (http://noahsarkcares.blogspot.sg/2015/03/in-memor y-of-small-seng-and-next-we.html). Well, our first response was: “Never been better!” Mandy
is a fun-loving and playful little imp, pretty active for her age but very
loving and attention seeking. On the greedy side but excellent temperament and
her confidence is slowly building up!As scheduled, we picked Mandy up from Madam C last week.
We will say Madam C ...

Newsletter March 2015: News From Noah's Ark CARES 17th Mar 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
17 March 2015
Dear Friends of Noah's Ark
Our sanctuary in Malaysia will turn 15 this year. Although it seems as if it was just yesterday, time has not been so kind to it and its many residents. Many of them have crossed over to Rainbow Bridge taking a little part of us with them. I know I can speak for many of us who are grateful to Raymund for having the vision to dream of a stray free Singapore as well as of building an animal sanctuary for abused, abandoned and...

Noah's Ark Fund Raising Dinner: 3 July 2015 16th Mar 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
To celebrate our 15th year in Pekan Nanas and 20 years in animal welfare we will be organzing a fund raising dinner on Friday, 3 July to enable Noah's Ark to continue at least another 20 years of its important and good work.
We would like to believe that our vision of a stray free Singapore and Malaysia will be closer to a reality then and our objectives finally reached. So if you too believe in this vision of a more humane society for animals and humans alike, consider support...

In Memory Of Small Seng, And Next - We Have To Help Mandy! 15th Mar 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
We always wish that every rescue story will have a happy ending just like in
fairy tales – “to live happily every after”. We really wish but sadly, this is
far from the truth. Amidst the cases we have recently, Small Seng (as he was named by the factory) was one which
we could only helplessly see him fade away, despite medical aid being rendered.
Perhaps it was too late.
We first saw Small Seng a year plus ago when prowling the streets of an
industrial estate in the west. We ...

Mongrel Puppies Sandy And Snowy Looking For Homes! 12th Feb 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
Mongrel puppies – they are just as cute and innocent as
other puppies, though not so lucky to be born as strays where they will have to
fight for survival. There were a litter of six puppies found by a kind-hearted guy
at a construction site at western Singapore early this month and he just did not
have the heart to leave them there alone. The mother dog was strangely taken
away to a shelter as told to him but we have no idea by who or to where,
leaving the young ones alone to fend for the...

Volunteers/Adopters Needed - As Always 18th Jan 2015, by Noah's Ark CARES
Puppies - we always have puppies up for adoption as well as adult dogs. But
they are - unlike those at pet shops/breeders that people will pay a few
hundreds or thousands for each - not of any pedigree breed. They are mainly mongrels. We are often asked,
where do all these so-called stray puppies come from? From the unsterilized street dogs we have not been able to catch – they who avoid us like
plague, who will only come out to grab the packet of food and run for their
lives the minu...

The Cats Situated At The Heart Of Singapore 9th Nov 2014, by Noah's Ark CARES
When one mentions Marina Barrage, Marina Financial Centre, MCE, Gardens By The Bay, what comes to mind is a modern and developed Singapore. In this little red dot, a number of stray and community animals share the same space with us and sometimes, in the most unexpected places.
Sometime in October, one of our Noah's Ark CARES volunteer was alerted to an area with a number of unsterilized cats, at a worker's dormitory off MCE. We had previously spayed and rehomed some of the&nb...

Shasha - The Girl With The Broken Tail 2nd Nov 2014, by Noah's Ark CARES
Shasha - a petite brown mongrel with yellow eyes that
lives at the end of a street. She lives in a high culling area but fortunately,
her factory took heed of our advice and made the effort to keep her within
their premises. She was just spayed by us in mid August this year and we see
her weekly still – her workers know us well too. :)
Shasha when we spayed her
A few nights back, we were as usual reaching Shasha's factory when we noticed
her excessively licking her tail and ...

Newsletter October 2014: News From Noah's Ark CARES 1st Oct 2014, by Noah's Ark CARES
1 October 2014
Dear Friends of Noah's Ark
In June 2000, Noah's Ark moved from Singapore to Malaysia due to the expiration of its land lease. The sanctuary has existed without a constant supply of electricity since it moved 14 years ago. To compensate for the lack of electrical power, the sanctuary has relied on a diesel- powered generator to provide the electricity to run the necessary equipment and facilities needed for the sanctuary. All other deemed unnecessary usage (lik...

PLEASE NOTE: Pick-up will be at Bishan for this

Hello everyone!
The lovely animals can’t wait to see you in person - the dogs are eager to be hugged and scratched, the cats ever-ready to greet you with their meows, and of course Starbucks (our most daring resident monkey) will be frequently reaching out her hand to obtain treats from you. Not forgetting, there's still Latte and Huggy, two&nb...
