Lost Cat - Umo
Male. Grey, beige and white. Muzzle, paws are white tipped. Blue eyes. Grey tail. Microchip from the US. Umo was at The Cove, Tower B, Tanjung Bungah when he escaped in late June. Visit From Fairview International School Students - July 18, 2011.

Nineteen students and 2 teachers from Fairview International School made a trip to the SPCA on 18th July. Their visit was to work on a project and present to their school what they have learnt. Their visit was to gather information on what NPO like ours is all about and how we exist to help the community. It was a great visit as the students had fun time with the animals at the shelter. Genuinely lost or abandoned by their owners?
This female labrador was found roaming for 5 days near a coffee shop along Bukit Jambul. She was brought in on 31.7.11. We are not certain if she is genuinely lost. We appeal to anyone who happens to know her owner, kindly inform her owner. We named her, Moni and have estimated her to be around 4-5 years of age.

The injured rottweiler is being returned to SPCA and is now being put up for adoption. If any of you are interested, do drop by. Will post some photos of him soon.

Update on injured rottweiler Rocky
He's doing well. Surgically the wound is now closed. Expected date to remove the sutures would be in another 8-9 days. His medical treatment expenses estimated around RM1200-1300. (See our posting on July 21 if you'd like to help out and donate to his medical fund.)

MAN'S BEST FRIEND
Do they deserve to be treated like this?
The shih tzu was brought in by a good samaritan on July 19. It was infested with maggots - half the face gone and blind in one eye. SPCA had to put him out of his misery.
The rottweiler was picked up by SPCA inspectors on July 20. It was tied up with a heavy chain and fastened with a lock weighing over 2kg. There's a deep cut wound infected with maggots around his neck - probably caused by the chain. Can anyone help identify his owner...
