Hi Everyone,
Two dogs were found lost and roaming near Minden Heights Traffic Light area. If you know of anyone in that vicinity and having 2 dogs missing, kindly alert their owners. SPCA can be reached at 04-2816559/0164166559 during our operating hours from 8.30 a.m. till 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and on Saturdays till 12.30 p.m.

Dear Members, Friends and Supporters,
As we prepare to welcome the Year of the Snake, SPCA would like to advise pet owners not to adopt/buy a Snake. Snakes are not suitable to be in our home environment.

"My boyfriend and I (English couple) were visiting Penang and found out online about the SPCA shelter and emailed to see if we could pop by. We spent 2 days at the shelter walking the dogs and then a couple of hours each day playing with the younger dogs and puppies who could not be taken outside the shelter. The vet students working there informed us that the dogs do not get taken outside the shelter if nobody volunteers - which instantly made us ...

Hi Everyone,
Last year 2012, SPCA Penang Ambulances had picked up 1142 cats and dogs. 509 cats and dogs were surrendered by owners and another 660 were brought in by members of the public. Two others ( a rabbit and a hedgehog) were found dumped. This makes a total of 2311 animals received. 180 homes were found and this is not enough. It is our fervent hope that year 2013 will see more homes found and less animals being abandoned or given up.

This is YuMei. She needs a loving home as her owner can't take care of her any more. She is 7 years old, she's a very quiet lady who likes to relax and doesn't cause any trouble. YuMei is currently having an allergy so she is on medication for 7 days due to breathing problem, but if you are a responsible dog lover and can promise her a loving & warm home, please do contact me to get more details....

Dear SPCA team,
This dog was found to day in the deep drain outside my house.
It is a male.
He has most likely been there for 3 nights as there has been a lot of barking for those nights and we couldn't figure out why.
We will put posters up in Jesselton and the area next to and at Dr. Gills.
We can keep him until his owner responds.
I will ask anyone who wants to claim him for proof that they are the rightful owner.
