FOSTERING MAKES SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE! These little pups started their day caged with so many other abandoned puppies, but look at them by lunchtime -- calm and cuddled in their FOSTER HOME, meeting their new foster sister (who of course is fully vaccinated by the conscientious foster family). You too can be part of this magic. Please PM if you can help an SSPCA animal by serving as a fosterer.

ELEGANT. POISED. TRANQUIL. The lucky person who adopts WILLOW and grooms and brushes her lovely feathery fur will have a canine beauty queen. She is about 3 months old and we think will remain quite small. A good indoor dog, good with other older dogs or on her own. Meet Willow at the SSPCA Shelter at 7th Mile behind Public Bank, any day 10AM-4PM.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED EVEN MORE URGENTLY! If you saw our recent post seeking foster homes and thought "well, I might consider that" -- please, please give this some serious thought and say yes now. This is a matter of life and death for innocent young puppies and kittens that have been stranded in the recent floods, or abandoned by unkind owners. Please PM if you are ready to make a difference -- just a short-term commitment of your time will make a life-long change.

THINK ABOUT THE ANIMALS! We are already receiving messages about dogs stuck in deep drains, tied up to trees with owners absent or irresponsible, etc. PLEASE the SSPCA volunteers are not emergency responders, we do not have emergency vehicles able to drive through flood waters. If you see an animal in need please THINK and ACT and DO SOMETHING to save it. Go out and look around your neighborhood, make sure all creatures are safe.

ANIMAL ABANDONMENT IS A CRIME!
Earlier today, one of our shelter staff about to start the daily kennel cleaning routine and were shock to discover 4 dead puppies scattered behind the shelter. Shame on the owner!! These puppies were condemned to death after they were tossed into the shelter in a box and left alone among the adult dogs that bit them to death. You thought your dogs would be adopted into a loving family? Think again. Chances of that happening are one in hundred. There’s not even...

WAITING SO PATIENTLY -- consider giving one of our older puppies a chance to show their loyalty and love. We have some wonderful dogs at the shelter under one year of age, fully vaccinated and already neutered. They are eager to be trained, healthy and playful, and "what you see is what you get" -- now fully grown, their personalities are apparent but they haven't learned any bad habits. You will make all the difference in their young lives if you can provide a home.
