All household dogs in the infected and surveillance areas within a 10-km radius must be vaccinated with Anti-Rabies Vaccine. The five villages are Kampung Kerait, Kampung Paon Rimu, Kampung Paun Rimu Bakung, Kampung Remun and Kampung Lebor.

• Don’t approach an unfamiliar dog.
• Don’t run from a dog.
• Don’t panic nor make loud noises.
• Don’t disturb a dog that is sleeping, eating, or caring for puppies.

Rabies is a severe, and often fatal, viral polioencephalitis that specifically affects the gray matter of the dog's brain and its central nervous system (CNS). KUCHING, July 2 - Sarawak identifying possible source of rabies outbreak, says Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
"We will make sure that the rabies is contained as soon as possible. The Veterinary Department, will be calling for a meeting with the Health Department, and Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) tomorrow to identify the best possible options to contain the spread further."

Ah Hock
Died aged 16
30th June 2017
Today marks a sad day for us at our animal shelter. Ah Hock, our resident dog, decided to leave us after a week of suffering from old age.
Ah Hock was our shelter dog for 9years. He was rescued from Kenyalang Park. Ah Hock was well-known for his 'manjaness' and friendliness to everyone in the shelter, including our volunteers as well as guests.

Sichuan landslide: One dog captures the mood and hearts of a nation
"Although the rescue services' detection devices found no signs of life where the dog was, there seemed to be something amiss about the dog. It stayed in the same spot for a day without eating anything, local media reported. Meet our friendly darling, Coco
Coco was rescued together with her 4sibblings in late March. Coco was 3months old back then. She was the skinniest and suffered skin disease, which made her very special to us.

Meet coming to 3-month-old Fluffy
Fluffy was borned to a stray mother dog on the street. She was just barely 6 weeks old when she was rescued by our volunteer. Fluffy was still weaning when she was brought into our shelter, and we had to feed her milk.

Roxy – the seductious Dachshund
Roxy was seen running around a shopping complex at Kota Sentosa two days ago. She caught our attention during our lunch break. Roxy sniffed every shopper whom passed by her.
