If you are visiting our Animal Shelter, please note that the main road is closed for road widening project. You need to take a left turn before Kuching Central if you're approaching from Kuching International Airport. That's the alternate route to our SSPCA Animal Shelter.

Owning a pet is a massive responsibility that some people do not realise. Many pets are abandoned on the streets and at shelters as their owners cannot, will not or even refuse to look after them. Often we ask ourselves why such human exist?
Have we not realised or learnt from our pet's behaviour, personality, demeanor, resiliency, and most importantly, the willingness to provide their family members with unconditional love, loyalty, and companionship down to their very last breath.

I can't stop asking what I've done wrong.
You were once there and now you're gone,
I'm too scared to carry on.
My face streaked with tears,
Bringing out my worst fears.
You left me on the street and don't care,
Hoping you to fetch me is my only prayer.
We were once so close and now so far,
I don't know where you are.
I just want you back with me
That's all I want you to see.

Howling is a form of communication that can indicate loneliness in an isolated dog, but typically serves other social functions. Dogs howl to assemble the 'pack' and also to reinforce the identity of the group.
