Borneo Talk's crew drove all the way to our shelter to deliver two units of supermarket trolleys decorated with SUB (Stirring Up Borneo). With the presence of trolleys, it definitely will ease our work during feeding hour. Thanks so much Borneo Talk! ๐๐พ

Anyone can spare us supermarket's trolley? We need 2 trolleys, to serve our residents from next week onwards.
Since flood, we have been feeding them a mixture of rice with kibbles and canned food. We are almost done with our cleaning at shelter, and we are going to serve them warm cooked meal with their favourite chicken meat and meat dust.
If you have a working condition supermarket trolley, bring over to us.

KUCHING: Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, the wife of Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, has donated essential items to the Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA).
The donation worth RM10,000 was presented by Astana Negeri administrative officer Zullasmie Gapor to SSPCA president Datin Donna Drury-Wee at SSPCAโs premises yesterday.

RESCUE CASE - Face-Off, a victim of TVT
We received a tip-off that this furkid was roaming around BDC scavenging for food. Volunteers have been searching hi-and-lo for him since the dog was reported in social media.
We will tentatively name this dog as Face-Off. He was found and captured on Wednesday morning. He is being diagnosed with canine transmissible venereal tumors (TVT in short).

The staff are busy cleaning up the shelter thoroughly. The sound of pressure jets could be heard from noon until 430pm. Our Zone M is clean now and we are able to focus onto other zones tomorrow. ๐ช๐ผ๐ช๐ผ๐ช๐ผThose spoilt cages were dismantled, and we picked up the good condition panels, to fix as barricades for our permanent cage.

Kapitan Alvin Chong and his team from Ming Dynasty FB live page paid a visit to our shelter. They sent a double-door freezer and pet food they had purchased and presented SSPCA with a cheque for RM10k! All the proceeds had been raised through their FB page auctions! Thank you to Ming Dynasty for answering Andy Teo's request for help!
And thank you to our staff and volunteers that came today to help dig muck out of the drains and tidy up the surroundings!

The dogs are basking in the sun today, enjoying a resort feel with the coconut tree swaying ๐๐ด while we are still busy doing cleanup. Water is back with the motor fixed and a new pump and tanks installed too! We are able to use the donated pressure jets to clean the drains and floors. The hollow blocks donated are used to cover up some of the sodden areas. Next weekend we will need volunteers to come do a final deep clean!
