You must understand - you will pay to bring your animal to our shelter. Many people seem to be under the misconception that things related to an animal shelter are free. The cost to maintain an animal shelter is incredible. The shelter must pay for food, vet bills, rent, insurance, medication, heat, electric, phone, website, advertising, staff, and hundreds of other things that all businesses have to pay for.

Dogs in heatFemale dogs are "in heat" when they have entered the fertile part of their reproductive cycle. Foster families are always welcome. You get the best of both worlds. You get a pet in your home which you can always return if it's adopted or if you feel you REALLY cannot handle one. And of course you'll be doing the animal a whole lot of good by caring for it in a home environment so that it'll be used to human contact.
