What Happened Today? By Richard Lim 27th Aug 2012, by SPCA Sarawak
I think I'll start a little diary to keep people informed of the difficulties we face each day.27th August 2012A woman called asking us to go catch all the stray animals around her place because there were too many of them and she'd noticed that some were dumped by people. I told her that's why the public needs to work with us in reporting people who dump animals to the police for cruelty to animals because animal abandonment can be considered as an intentional act which causes su...

Another Beast Strikes 18th Aug 2012, by SPCA Sarawak
Look at what a coward did to this poor and super docile puppy? Trimmed a mohawk on her head, then cut off both the ears and we're wondering whether it broke the legs too because her hind legs did not react to stimuli but the muscles looked and felt normal.

Silly Boy DraGGie. 15th Aug 2012, by SPCA Sarawak
This is a message from DraGGie to those who said he should be put to sleep because he cannot walk and is always smearing his poo and pee everywhere. Although his hind legs still cannot support his bodyweight without help, he can at least lift them up which means the muscles are coming back to life again.

Again it has come to our attention that many out there still think of vaccinations as a cure when their pets fall ill. We have stressed many times and obviously not enough that a vaccine shot will actually WORSEN or even KILL off an animal which is weak or already suffering from a viral infection because inside the vaccine is modified live viruses meant to trigger off the host animal's immune system to develop antibodies against the injected viruses which it recognizes as being 'forei...

RE the 5 puppies killed near Kch Specialist Hospital. Does anyone have a photo or video of the man actually killing the puppies? That would be really good for our case. Also, where were the puppies buried? It would be better for us to get an autopsy done too. Thank you!

Another Dog Dumped When He Needed Help Most 18th Jul 2012, by SPCA Sarawak
This dog was obviously a distemper survivor but the virus had attacked his nervous system leaving him unable to stand or walk. What did his owner do? Call in the council to have his removed for disposal. The sad truth is that although we meet some saints in our job, most of those we encounter don't quite seem to be human in actions or words.
