This Place Will Be A Meeting Place For Potential A.. 24th Nov 2021, by SPCA Sarawak
This place will be a meeting place for potential adopters with our dogs. Besides that, if time is permissable, it will be our small training ground for walking the dogs.
For over a month, our staff have been working on this small project. The fencing is made from the old cages at our shelter. From welding works to painting works, they managed to create a new place/zone.

GEORGE TOWN: A man who lost his pet dog to city council dog catchers in 2018 and later found it dead will finally have his suit against the council heard following a decision by the appeals court today.
Chendeladevan Kuppusamy, 52, sued the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) for negligence resulting in his mongrel Butcho’s death after it had been captured along Batu Ferringhi beach.

The shelter is at full capacity to house and care for dogs and cats. We plead you to be patient when contacting us. Please do “NOT” just show up at the shelter and knock on our gate to beg us to take in your animal. We have limited number of staff working in our shelter currently. The greatest challenge faced by any animal welfare groups is changing the public mind set on how to allow the animals to live with the dignity they deserve. We need to strive to create greater awareness about animal welfare, to inculcate a greater respect for the animals that live with and around us, from our own pets in our homes, to the strays that wander homelessly, and the birds and other animals that live in the environment surrounding us.
