It Only Took 1.5 Months!!!
22nd Oct 2012, by SPCA Sarawak

Can someone take this fella away so that his daddy can fold his clothes? Those who lock their pets up in cages all the time or chain them without freedom and never spend time with them will never know the joy that a loyal and loving pet can give.

Beast Dumps Handicapped Dog At Shelter Gate
22nd Oct 2012, by SPCA Sarawak

This poor dog was found in a box dumped at our shelter gate on Monday morning. Initial inspection noticed that it was missing its front left paw and had multiple wounds all over its body which smelt of rotting flesh. Owner had obviously been too stingy and heartless to bring it for the necessary treatment and dumped it in the morning like a piece of trash to be gotten rid of before the day began.

WHY WE NEED FOSTER FAMILY?
20th Oct 2012, by SPCA Sarawak

When very young puppies or kittens come into our shelters, they often have a slim chance of survival. Foster parents help by providing a temporary home to the youngsters until they're ready to be adopted into permanent homes. The rewards of being a foster parent are many. They include offering an animal a second chance and the added benefit of receiving the love and attention right back from the animal you nurture. You will directly experience 'temporary mother/fatherhood' by raisi...

Animal Dumpings By S.I.C.K. People.
16th Oct 2012, by SPCA Sarawak

Another animal dumping on the 15th of October. Outside a petshop. We've tried to explain many times to people that our priority are the sick, wounded and abused but many of them just won't listen and actually have the cheek to get angry with us which revealed their simple mindedness and often self deluded thinking that they're good and kind people. When we teach them that they can help by feeding the weak ones, they say that they won't 'help' anymore in future and will tell their friends that...

Animal Dumpings By S.I.C.K. People.
10th Oct 2012, by SPCA Sarawak

More S.I.C.K. dumpings. This time, thrown from a high level into the area behind the council cages. Obviously unwanted puppies by someone with an un-neutered pet and the mother was probably ill-treated too judging from the poor condition of the puppies. All female puppies so again, we have a case of an uneducated person who chose to remain uneducated about dogs thinking that only males should be kept.

What Maggots Can Do To A Dog In A Matter Of Days

Too bad for this good boy. He was found by Georgette too late and the only thing that could be done for him was to have him euthanized before the maggots could cause further suffering.

Why Backyard Breeders Should Be Banned
18th Sep 2012, by SPCA Sarawak

And also why as a responsible pet owner, you should NEVER take in a pet which you cannot afford to keep in good condition. The owner had obviously neglected it badly and probably fed it only table leftovers causing its very poor condition.

If you look at her other photos, you'll notice that she cannot straighten the lower part of her right leg and since she tended to put weight on it, the skin around the joint was badly abraded after some time and the flesh below slowly getting infected.

What Happened Today? By Richard Lim
27th Aug 2012, by SPCA Sarawak

I think I'll start a little diary to keep people informed of the difficulties we face each day.27th August 2012A woman called asking us to go catch all the stray animals around her place because there were too many of them and she'd noticed that some were dumped by people. I told her that's why the public needs to work with us in reporting people who dump animals to the police for cruelty to animals because animal abandonment can be considered as an intentional act which causes su...

Another Beast Strikes
18th Aug 2012, by SPCA Sarawak

Look at what a coward did to this poor and super docile puppy? Trimmed a mohawk on her head, then cut off both the ears and we're wondering whether it broke the legs too because her hind legs did not react to stimuli but the muscles looked and felt normal.
