Adoption Drive On 1st October 2011 At Juru Auto-City

Out of the 15 puppies put up for adoption on the 1st of October 2011, 8 were successfully adopted. We hope that more people will come forward to adopt these homeless animals instead of buying. MDDB & MCCP Northern will continue to hold Adoption Drives as frequent as possible in hope to help more animals in need. 2 More Puppies Caught

Update as at 6 October 2011: We managed to trap another 2 male puppies from Ganesha Temple yesterday afternoon. We have in total removed 4 puppies and 1 male adult dog. We are appealing to the public to come forward to help us adopt these dogs/puppies OR fund us to help these animals. We are collecting funds to spay/neuter them. As per our previous posting here, we have been working hard from the day onwards to remove the puppies and dogs from the temple but unfortunately, they are not as friendly as what the person who has reported the case said to be. We have a hard time trapping and catching them and most of the time, we went back empty handed. One Female Stray From Relau Spayed

This female stray from Relau has been spayed under our subsidization. However, the vet did not include a "V" notch for her as requested. We shall give an exemption for this round but not anymore in future since we have already got the approval from Penang Veterinary Department to help us spay and do the "V" mark. Terms & Conditions Of Spaying Subsidization Under MDDB & MCCP's TNR Program

Support From The Penang State Veterinary Department

The Penang Veterinary Department has agreed to give us their full support in our spaying program for the stray animals in Penang. MPSP has also came by our halfway home today to conduct an interview and has verbally given us their support. We thank both the departments for their co-operation and quick response. Our very first Adoption Drive (Save Lives - Spay & Neuter) has been a great success. We managed to get 7 out of 15 puppies adopted. Updates On Janice's Rescued Pup

Remember the puppy with ticks fever that Janice has rescued near to her workplace? Well, he is currently under foster care until he is completely heal which probably will take another couple of weeks. The lil' puppy is a real survivor. He was at his weakest point on the day he was rescued. Even the vet was not sure he will pull through...BUT he really did! A Rescued Dog From The Pound - ADOPTED

Rescuing jobs are never easy. It is indeed very stressful. Besides having to handle the problem from the animals, we are most of the time caught up with problem given by our fellow humans. We do not wish to be credited for the things we have done, but we do hope that people will respect the things we do and not just jump at us and tell us “what we should do” and “what we should not do”. On The Road Of Recovery

The puppy rescued by Janice is getting better and can be taken off the IV Drip today. He will also be ready to discharge by this evening. The puppy has even started asking for food! Janice now needs help for someone to foster the puppy for 3 weeks to a month till he is fully recover. Any fosterer and better still an adopter available?

Stray Puppy Need Urgent HELP!

Janice has wrote-in to us this morning about a puppy she has recently rescued which is down with ticks fever. The puppy made it through last night but he still seems weak and lack of appetite. However, his fever has drop from 39.5 to 38 which is a positive sign.
