A river side in Old Klang Road. As the shelter is fully packed then, Aunty Kiew built them a temporary shelter until we’re able to move them to the shed.                 That’s Champion when he was still very little and wary of hu...

1.How Paws Mission Started PAWS Mission was set up by a small group of volunteers who responded to help Aunty Kiew to care for a litter of 12 abandoned puppies in October 2009. At that time, Aunty Kiew was already feeding about a dozen stray dogs and more than 40 cats all on her own and thereby was not able to cope with the additional puppies.(Some of the 12 puppies)                &# 160;   ...

It’s CNY, But The Furrizen’s Still Gotta Eat
5th Feb 2011, by Second Chance

Firstly, Zillion Trillion Thanks to Mrs Lai and her maid for helping to feed the furrizens throughout the New Year. We are not trying to glorifying them in this post as we believe others too who are taking care of their furrizens in their respective shelters like Jacqueline Tsang of Save A Stray, Ruth and Amy of Garden of Eden.Winnie of Cherished Life Home, Sabrina of Furry Friends Farms to name a few, are also doing the same. Its just does make us feel quilty not being able to attend to our...

Guinness Looking For A Warm Home …… Ethan Siew
1st Feb 2011, by Second Chance

Hunger was my everyday enemy. Every morning I check my trademark smile in the mirror, put on my best suit (black) and start work at the break of dawn, pacing up and down that familiar road hoping that someone might spare me some of their breakfast leftovers. I really admire Mr Darlie, he's my idol. He's really successful. As a new dog rescuer, I was still very happy for just successfully found a home for my big black pitbull-mongrel-mix (Sean Black )And there I spot this scrawny little fella ...

Photo Never Lies
30th Jan 2011, by Second Chance

Naughty Bak Kut Teh whom roam freely outside the shed were caught and carried into the shed for a bath. He is one of the dogs dumped at the temple. Surprisingly, he is very friendly. To be this trusting of human, we do think that he used to be someone’s pet previously. Even a trip to the dog pound lately didn’t completely deter his trust in human. Bak Kut Teh, however, detest being constraint in the shed. He will whine non-stop and put his teeth to good use. The victim, the poor shed ...

Another Dog Dumped At Us
29th Jan 2011, by Second Chance

In case some may wonder how can the shed be overcrowded since we’re trying our best to rehome the furrizens, this is one of the reason. Every week, we have an average of 3-5 dogs dumped outside the shed. And today is no exception. However, we’re very shocked at the condition of the poor dog... terribly skinny and weak, just lying there almost motionless. Aunty Kiew gently put the dog in the carrier and Aunty Kim rush him/her to the vet.. As of now, we’re not sure how the dog is doing. ...

Why CheChe Loves Hanging Out At The Temple Now
27th Jan 2011, by Second Chance

Cheche is one of the furrizen with the longest ‘tenure’  in the shed. Aunty Kiew will always let Cheche roam outside the shed when she comes to feed the furrizen knowing that Cheche will obediently return to the shed. Nowadays, we find that Cheche is very reluctant to return to the shed. Everytime we go to fetch her back to the shed, she will lie down on her belly and refuse to budge. So most of the time we end up carrying her back to the shed :D And last week we find out why… ...
