Dearest Subu Has Passed On

Subu, the gentle giant mastiff has left us on Sunday, 8th January 2012. She suffered from compications from her pregnancy. She was too old and could not sustain the pregnancy. The foetus died inside and resulted in toxic in her blood system. The vet has given her blood transfusion because of low platelet count , a surgery was performed to remove dead foetus but she could not make it and died the next day.Subu was not spayed as she was already old and would not be able to stand the anesthesia...

Updates On Caramel

Remember Caramel? She had a very bad wound on her back and down to her thighs. She is now back at the shelter and her wounds are almost fully recovered. She is happy to report that she is happy her skin is getting better and fur are slowly growing back. Here are some pictures of Caramel.

Jackson Is Up For Adoption!

Jackson was picked up form the roadside of Old Klang Rd together with his 3 other siblings, they were only 2 weeks old and were put inside a box. They were crying for milk. their mother was no where to be seen, an obvious case of someone who did not spay their mother dog and ended up with a litter of unwanted puppies (All pet owners PLEASE SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS!). The Doggies That We Lost

Case Number 1A big Bull dog was dumped at our shelter by one irresponsible person who claimed he rescued him from the street. This poor dog was obviously malnourished , skinny with ribs protruding only. He ate lots and lots of kibbles when we first fed him and he drank lots of water too. Macy and her "mom & dad" (and Rex) dropped by to visit us at the shelter last week, such pleasant visitors they are!After 1 year. she has grown much plumper now - credit goes to Jessie and Richard for lavishing heaps of yummylicious food and TLC on Macy! Good News! Alexander Has Been Adopted!

Alexandra and Alexander were rescued from the dog pound by Mrs Lai a few months ago when they were still very small. Alexandra was adopted by a kind lady but agreed to foster Alexander at that time as they were both still very young to be separated. It was two weeks ago since Alexander was returned to the shelter. Lab Retriever Found In Ara Damansara

This male dog was found on Boxing Day. He was looking scared and trying to cross the road when some motorcycles tried to run him down. Jumped into a rescuer's car when car door was opened. He is neutered and very well behaved. Has a distinctive blue tongue. Quiet and playful, and knows some tricks. No collar was found on him, the blue collar belongs to the rescuer. Mrs Lai said "I have very close bond with these 4 pups as I fostered them since they were 2 weeks old" We found a box with 4 small babies aged about 2 weeks old : Jaswin is one of these pups. They were so small and weak. Mrs Lai initiated to foster them with great care and she were feeding them with milk bottles at least 5 times a day until they were strong and healthy.
