Pomelo And Paula Are Part Of A Pack Of 5 Sisters. ..

Pomelo and Paula are part of a pack of 5 sisters. They were taken in by the shelter in September 2019. Their sisters Pumpkin and Purple have been adopted, while one, Peony went to heaven. We are hoping Pomelo and Paula will both receive very good homes. They should be about 7+months old now. Below shows then when they first appeared in the shelter, and pictures of Paula and Pomelo at our recent adoption drive.

Another happy story on the P sisters...
Pumpkin was adopted on 1st March. prior to this, on 25th February, the family requested that she be neutered and tested for heart worm in advanced. They happily paid the bills; and she was sent to her forever family on 1st March. ♥️

Tasha, next to Bolt & Jacky was found to have growing tumors at the hip and paws.
Tasha has been scheduled for the removal tumor surgery to run a cancer diagnosis test.

Second Chance shelter was established since Sept 2009 with 12 abandoned 1 month old pups.
Now the shelter is going to be 11 years old. Many of our rescued doggies are growing older & Jacky was one of them 😌😌😌
Jacky, was rescued on Oct 2010 when he was a 2 months old pup.

Our beloved dog, Bolt has been struggling with a chronic skin condition ever since we rescued him on June 2014. Apart from that, Bolt also suffers from other underlying problems such as yeast infection and hormonal imbalance etc. Just recently we discovered that he had a leg tumour while bathing him with the usual anti-fungus shampoo. 😥

There’s our challenge if our 500 rescued animals would eat regularly. We also have to worry on the food supply when our unwell , puppies & senior doggies have to eat the cooked meat rice food .
An anonymous donor from Ipoh answers our worry. She arranges Tesco to do the delivery of rice packs 😋😋😋

Reliance college students came to help us at the adoption drive in IOI Shopping Mall last week.
Very fast, second time, they came to visit our shelter with their generous donations- in - kind loaded in their Sedan car . 👏👏😍😍
Even though it was a wet raining day , the access road to shelter became muddy & skippering condition, this never stop them💪💪
