Dory was the tiniest kitten who was abandoned in a box at a condo parking lot with swimmers syndrome. Swimmers syndrome is when a kitten's back legs splay outwards, but can be 100% fixed through physio and massage. She was boarded at our vet for physio, and has quickly recovered from swimmers syndrome but she also has some incontinence issues and needs assistance to urinate and defecate. We are not sure yet what is causing this - if it's due to early trauma or stunted growth, the issue will self-correct as she grows bigger and stronger. If it's due to congenital issues, we will have to cross that bridge when it gets there.

On the bright side, she's eating very well and gaining weight quickly. If her speedy recovery from swimmers syndrome is any indication, we are cautiously hopeful that her incontinence issues will resolve itself too, and we are happy to report that it's already improving.

Dory has been defleaed and dewormed, and has had her first vaccination (needs two more over the next two months). She has no other health issues otherwise!

This sweet little purr machine is a bit blur most of the times, but very determined and absolutely adorable. She has no idea that she's a little bit different and tries to cat with all the other big cats in our home too. She has this precious relationship with Captain Scoots, another diaper-wearing cat we have at home.

Please be aware though, that we are doing everything we can to sort out all her medical problems through physiotherapy, laser therapy, and even acupuncture, but there's a possibility that her limited control of her bladder is permanent. Once you establish the routine, it's not difficult but she does need special care. We are very happy to guide you through this!
