24 APR 2015: Since Oreo has been discharged from the vet, he has been staying with us. He has been an absolutely brilliant dog, and gets along well with our other rescued dogs and even cats.

He is really very sweet and loves getting lots of cuddles and loves giving kisses even more. He has put on quite a bit of weight since he has come home to us and is looking very handsome now.

Since Oreo has been discharged from the vet, he has been staying with us. He has been an absolutely brilliant dog, and gets along well with our other rescued dogs and even cats.

He is really very sweet and loves getting lots of cuddles and loves giving kisses even more. He has put on quite a bit of weight since he has come home to us and is looking very handsome now.

Oreo is also a good watch dog and is very protective of the people and animals that he love. We are currently training him basic obedience and also training him to "leave it" on command, and he has been very receptive to his training. He does however, need an experienced person to continue this training as he does have a bad habit of lunging at cyclists and motorbikes and has a very high prey drive.

Oreo is already fully potty trained and will wait for you to take him out to do his business! He will not pee or poop in the house even when he is desperate.

We are still looking for someone who can give Oreo the home that he deserves, where he will be loved and treated as part of the family. We would want Oreo to be an indoor dog with access to the garden/porch/yard.

Oreo is also currently raw fed and we would prefer if his new family can continue feeding him a prey model raw diet or at the very least a home cooked diet or a good grain free kibble. You will also need to be able to take Oreo out for his toilet breaks at least 2 to 3 times a day.

If you think you are the person that Oreo has been waiting for, please SMS or WhatsApp to let us know why you would be the perfect person for Oreo. Please note that we will not answer calls from numbers that we do not recognise.

If you are unable to adopt Oreo, we would be grateful if you could share his story with all your friends. Someone you know may be able to give him his forever home.

15 FEB 2015: Oreo is currently staying with us, and has adapted to living indoors really well. He doesn't chew on anything and will ask to go out for his pee and poo breaks. He is a really fast learner! He has also discovered the comforts of sleeping in a bed and on the sofa!

And Oreo is now known as the resident patrol dog cause he wears his shiny security vest for his night walks...

2 FEB 2015: Oreo has been neutered and is recovering at the vet...

SMS or WhatsApp if you can give him the home he deserves.

31 JAN 2015: Oreo's wound is almost completely healed. And he is looking much better than when we first picked him up. He will be neutered this week and he will be ready to go to his forever home by the end of the week. Could you be the one he has been waiting for?

Oreo is a sweet and gentle boy who loves his walks. He walks well on a leash and does not pull or tug...

SMS or WhatsApp if you can give him the home he deserves.

********************************

12 JAN 2015: We rescued this sweetie in February last year (2014) and he was slightly injured then. But the good news was that we found his family a week later. We returned him to his family who seemed very happy to have him back and we thought that that was the end of the story.

Last week, my helper Charis Stanton saw him at our house with the rest of our strays. She fed him and didn't think much of it as she actually
did not recognize him immediately as he has lost so much weight and looked really poorly.

He came again this weekend and it was only then that I realized it was Oreo. He had a huge maggot wound in his neck and several other wounds, he was covered with fleas and he was limping badly.

We managed to catch him the next day, gave him a good bath and treated him with Bayticol as there was just so many fleas it was unbelievable.

And then with advice from Mun Mun IMonday we flushed his maggot wound with hydrogen peroxide. Hundreds of maggots came out and it was just absolutely disgusting. As we couldn't stomache taking the maggots out ourselves, so we took him to the vet, and she removed alot more.

Our vet told us that the wound was at least 10 days to 2 weeks old, which means that he has been left untreated all this time. The fact that this time he has no collar makes us suspect that he has now been thrown out.

Once he is all better, we would like to put him up for adoption to a good home where he will be love and cared for.

He is a very sweet natured dog and did not show any aggression to us or the vet when we were cleaning his wounds. He just lay down very quietly.

If you think you can give Oreo a good home, please SMS or WhatsApp. If you cannot, please share this with your friends. Someone you know may be able to give him the home that he deserves.
