Dogs should not be castrated after maturity as it defeats the purpose especially pedigree dogs. If the dog is a stray I suppose it is meant for controlling unwanted puppies.If Dogs need to be castrated it whould be done before maturity but after maturity, it will still show all the "horniess" of a dog :-S

Scoopy, on what are you basing statements like this? Certainly no veterinarian would agree with you.

Also, your comment suggests that "the purpose" of pedigreed dogs is breeding more pedigreed dogs. As you can see from looking at the Petfinder listings, there are plenty of homeless pedigreed dogs, not only mongrels. To suggest that people allow purebred dogs to breed indiscriminately is simply irresponsible.
