mongo (M) is a labrador and is about 9 years old. we rescued him from spca a long time ago and he has been with us since then. as he's an old dog, he's not as active as he used to be. he's a very lovable and docile dog.

mia(F) is around 6 years old and she's a golden retriever mixed. she's very active and loves rough play. she makes a pretty good guard dog and very good at catching rodents. she's friendly to people that she knows.

hate to give our dogs away but we are leaving the country soon, in january 2009. if our dogs don't find a home soon, we will be forced to surrender them to spca, which is our last resort.

Sometimes it's hard to make decisions rite?
Rather than give to other people u don't know, have u try asking ur relatives or friends that are a dog lovers too. Who knows they can help u and plus... it's easy to get to know more bout ur dogs condition after u leave. Rite?
But still the same,
If can really really don give up ur dog too easily.

have explored options to bring them but it is working against us. seeked advise on bringing our dogs along but in a dog meat eating country (will not name it for obvious reasons), it is very common dogs go missing mysteriously overnight. which would we prefer? to let our dogs end up in a cooking pot or a home that will care and love them the same way we do?

and the cost to bring them there. we are not in a position where we can afford to take them over. it'll basically cost us a car to able to cargo them over. upon vet's advise, mongo at such an old age may not survive the trip.

dorgarus, junleewei- i do not have a problem but i have an uphill task of looking for a good home for my beloved dogs. let me emphasize that i am not abandoning my dogs but simply trying to rehome them. its bad enough that we have the pain of parting and trying to find a good home for with them, not having to read about uncalled comments of us abandoning our dogs. please do think carefully before making baseless comments of us abandoning them.

hopefully there are kind souls out there who understand our situation and would love to take them in.
