Naomi showed up at one of our team mate's TNR location one day, looking very ill with thick discharge caked on her nose. At the vet's, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. After about a month, she recovered but continued to have chronic flu, which was stopped with a course of antibiotics. To keep her airways clear, Naomi only needs nebulization once a week. This is a very simple task that we will teach her future parent to do; her nebulizer will go along with her to her new home.
Naomi is such a fun and goofy cat! She is absolutely confident and will make any home her own. She warms up to people very quickly and is super affectionate. She's also very playful and loves feather toys. She does need to be on a strict portion control diet though, because she tends to put on weight so she gets a specific amount of food twice a day.
Naomi is perfect for a first-timer cat parent because she is so confident and adjusts easily to new people and environment. Her nebulization is really easy to carry out and she takes it easy as well by not kicking up a fuss. One key point about Naomi is that she's super adventurous and can be a daredevil so the home that she will be in MUST be 100% cat-proof.
Ideally, Naomi would be best in a solo cat household because we are unsure if her previous history with flu would make her contagious to other cats. However, realistically, we don't know many cats who have NOT had the flu. Currently, she is being fostered in a multi-cat household and there have not been issues so if you're aware of this and it doesn't bother you, we have no issue with Naomi going to a home with existing cats. She does well with other cats too. She is currently being fostered with another one of our rescues, Owen.
Naomi is deflead, dewormed, vaccinated, spayed and tested negative for both FIV and FeLV.

We do have a short application process. We insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough.
