Owner unable to provide the attention he needs.Adoption fee is for spaying of discounted rate of rm120 and rm150 for medical expenses and maintenance for unadopted dogs taken care bt Aunty Kiew
Sometimes I just wonder why you need to ask for money. Adopters will gladly give if they are keen in helping out. I know the upkeep of the strays do need money and without asking I guess all those kindered spirit will also give without asking...my two cents of thoughts...peace
Hi, Scoopy -- smfan explained clearly in the pet description what the money is to cover (spay, medical bills, etc.) Her group rescues a large number of dogs, so without adoption fees, they could probably not continue. I agree with you that some caring adopters will give without being asked, but many won't, and some even object rudely, as if it's written somewhere that a rescued stray should be free of charge. If a potential adopter is unwilling, for example, to spend the money to ensure that the dog is spayed and vaccinated, it gives the rescuer her first hint that this person is not going to care for the animal very well. I wish it could work as you suggested, with all adopters making the necessary contributions without being asked. We need more kindred spirits, I guess. :-)
Manekineko I have been following "Every Dog Has Its Day posting so I know what the group is doing. In fact I would much preferred that those un-adopted animals be put to sleep cos it is better in the long run. Tell me how many strays can this group adopt and how many can the public adop? It is a never ending nitemare...and I share the sadness of the animals and why they should be brought to this cruel world....:-((
ManekiNeko glad to know you understand what we rescuers face.Scoopy sad to read that you ever suggested to put a stray to sleep. We try to give each one a chance to have a better life. For the adoption fee, you be surprised how ignorant some adopters are. They think that there are no cost involved!
