Sunny is a senior cat who's had a long, tough life and deserves some peace, quiet and unconditional love. We'll be completely honest, his prognosis is NOT good. And we've never done an adoption post like this before. But basically, Sunny doesn't have very much long to live. Maybe another 9 -18 months max, according to our vet team.
Sunny has FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), FeLV (feline leukemia), CKD (chronic kidney disorder), and a suspected form of cancer that can't be diagnosed without an invasive biopsy.
He's a senior boy who used to be the alpha of his territory and used to get into a lot of fights in his day. Over the last year, his feeder noticed that he was losing fights, becoming a bit more lethargic with less appetite too. Our vet team decided to rescue him, but after some initial diagnostics testing, realized that we are not dealing with something he can recover from and any diagnostics/treatment will merely extend his life span by a little bit but arguably not worth how invasive the procedures would be.
Since he's come inside though, Sunny has decided to let go of all his past fighting ways, and has embraced the indoor grandpa cat ways. He is unbelievably friendly, trusting, and loves to sit on your feet or by your side. He's like a little ginger shadow! We are looking for a home who's willing to give him unconditional love and support for his remaining days, knowing that it won't be that long.
For a cat who's terminally ill, his care is remarkably simple. He eats everything, both dry and wet (obviously prefers wet and we do too, for hydration), and he has no ongoing medication. He's been dewormed and neutered already, not vaccinated due to his frailty, and because he has FeLV, he must be the only cat in the house or with another FeLV cat.
If you're interested in Sunny, please WHATSAPP us on the number provided. We are very responsive on WhatsApp, SMS, e-mail, Facebook and Instagram but we won't be seeing comments left here.
We do have a short application process. We insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough.
