Lukey is the definition of a gentle giant uncle cat. He was a cat I've known since June 2018 and we neutered him in January 2019. During the MCO, he became consistent again so we decided to rescue him. He was so friendly and trusting, that rescue was easy! We just picked him up and put him in the carrier.
We had him fully vetted, including a complete blood count, and he's a very healthy boy with all his organs functioning beautifully but he did test positive for FIV, or feline immunodeficiency virus. This merely means that he contracted a virus (either through mating or fighting with deep puncture wounds) that suppresses his immune system. But as long as he's kept indoors in a hygienic environment with good quality food and annual vet check-ups, he can live the full lifespan of a cat, up to 20 years! Luke has been defleaed, dewormed, vaccinated until 2023, neutered, and litter-trained.
Lukey is a gentle, sensitive soul. He does not do well with big changes, but the one thing that calms him down is hugs and cuddles. He likes to burrow into your lap and he loves to be carried around too. He's very clingy and needs to be around people. Lukey is not shy, and extremely trusting of people. He assumes everyone is his friend! He gets along great with other cats too and very chill around them. Lukey would be fine as a solo cat, but he probably would very much enjoy the company of another cat too.

We do have a short application process. We insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough. If you would like to learn more about our work, please check us out on Instagram: @ allergic rescuers kl or on Facebook: Allergic Rescuers KL. Thank you for considering adoption!
