It’s good news 🎉 Check out the Bill which will strenghten the protection, preservation and management of wildlife in Singapore 👍



[ A Bill from the PEOPLE 👍🎉 ]

It has taken us more than 2 years of hard work 👍 Tomorrow, I will introduce the Wild Animals and Birds (Amendment) Bill in Parliament. It’s my first Private Member’s Bill and it a Bill by the people 😊

Bills to propose amendments to a law are usually presented by the government, but MPs can also submit a Bill.

It’s taken us 2 years because we took feedback from thousands of people in Singapore. Thousands who shared their views, criticisms and suggestions with us.

My heartfelt thanks to the Wild Animals Legislation Review Committee for your dedication towards protecting Singapore’s wildlife and for the countless hours you devoted towards debating on the best way forward for this piece of legislstion ❤️

This is a vital Bill which will strenghten the protection, preservation and management of wildlife for the purposes of maintaining a healthy ecosystem and safeguarding of public safety and health 👍

I’m proud to introduce it in Parliament on behalf of the people and I look forward to the debates and your support 😊
