WINTER SHELTER BUILDING STALLED FOR DOZENS OF CATS

In one of two missions this week to protect cats from the coming winter, we’d like to ask your help completing this partially constructed shelter for homeless cats in Bosnia. The cold is coming in VERY soon. The goal is to raise $640.

“Some of the cats who will live here were seriously ill, some were in great danger of poisoning, harm from stray dogs or they were living along roads with busy traffic,” rescuer Naida Kaltak explains. “I am also getting calls on daily basis from people who say there are some kittens around their house. If I don’t take them, the people throw them in forest or drop them in the middle of nowhere.”

“When finished, this structure will have 3 rooms, fully insulated including the floor and roof and all lined out,” volunteer Nancy Wilkerson explains. “Each room will have its own door and window and there will be raised beds built-in. The cats and kittens will love it and of course there will be litter trays and scratching posts for them.We would like also to have a secure outdoor area so they can go out but will be safe.
